Buttermilk Banana Bread

Me: Wanna help me make some banana bread?
K: Sure! What’s banana bread?
Me: Soft bread that tastes like banana. K, so mash these together for me, please.
K: Okay, now where’s the bread?

Buttermilk Banana Bread

  • 1 c. whole wheat flour
  • 1 t. baking powder
  • 1/2 t. baking soda
  • 1/2 t. salt
  • 2 very ripe bananas
  • 5 T. light agave syrup
  • 1 T. canola oil
  • 1 t. vanilla extract
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 c. low-fat buttermilk
  • 1/4 c. pecans, chopped & floured

Bake in a greased pan at 325F for 40-45 minutes.

*My Notes: the edges were slightly bitter?
